The International Master's Program on Information Technology (IMPIT) is an English language program that allows different types of specializations, based on the subjects chosen.

I specialized in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), which is on the intersection of cognitive and behavioral psychology and Computer Science. Specifically, I specialized in hands-free interaction based on eye movements.

My Master thesis got deep into the analysis of pupil detection under different light conditions using state of the art (at the time) algorithms.

I chose the Human-Computer Interaction track of the Summer School, led by Hans Gellersen (University of Lancaster, UK) and Eduardo Velloso (Microsoft Research Center for Social Natural User Interfaces at the University of Melbourne, Australia).

The project that my team developed (UbiGaze) received the Distinguished Project Award due to the outstanding result.
